How to Use the Yes or No Generator
- Think of a question that can be answered with Yes or No. You can type it in the optional box or keep it to yourself.
- Select Get My Answer to reveal your random answer.
- Select Ask Again for another independent result. Recent Answers keeps your last eight results while this page stays open.
This yes or no picker needs no login or download. The result is chosen on your device. The tool does not read your question to choose an answer, save it, or include it in its analytics events. Reloading clears the answer history.
When to Use a Yes or No Generator
A random answer generator can help break a small tie when you would be happy with either outcome. Try questions such as:
- Choosing what to eat: “Should we make pasta tonight?”
- Movie night: “Shall we watch a comedy?”
- Everyday choices: “Should I take the scenic walking route?”
- Games and challenges: “Do we add a bonus round?” Agree on what each answer means before you click.
Use it as a playful decision maker, not as advice. You can always ignore the result: a random answer cannot weigh your needs or circumstances.
Is the Answer Really Random?
Yes. Your browser supplies a fresh cryptographic random number for each click, and the generator maps it evenly to Yes or No. Every click independently has a 50% chance of Yes and a 50% chance of No. The question, its wording, and earlier answers do not change those chances.
Equal chances do not mean the results will alternate or split exactly in half over a few tries. Three Yes answers in a row can happen; the next answer is still 50/50. The short reveal animation only shows the result and does not influence it.
Yes or No Generator FAQ
How does the Yes or No Generator work?
It selects one of two equally likely outcomes using your browser’s random-number feature. It does not interpret the question or predict what will happen.
Is it really 50/50?
Yes. Yes and No each have exactly half of the possible random values assigned to them. A short sequence can still contain more of one answer than the other.
Can I ask the same question again?
Yes. Press Ask Again as often as you like. Every result is a fresh random yes or no, so the answer may repeat or change.
Do I need to type a question?
No. The question box is optional and has no influence on the result. You can leave it empty or think of your question privately.
Should I use it for important decisions?
No. This tool is for fun and low-stakes choices. Do not use a random answer for medical, financial, legal, safety-related, or other important decisions. Consider reliable information and appropriate professional advice instead.
Are my recent answers saved?
