Free Memory Matching Game
Play a free online matching pairs game with no signup or download. Every card has one identical partner. Animals and Easy are ready when you arrive; choose another theme or a larger board whenever you want a new challenge. There is no countdown or time limit.
How to Play
- Flip a card, then choose a second card. Two flips count as one move.
- If the pictures or uppercase letters are identical, the pair stays face up with a check mark.
- If they differ, both cards turn back over after a short pause. Remember their positions for your next turn.
- Find all the pairs to finish. Play again to try for fewer moves, then a faster time.
Use a mouse or tap on a phone. With a keyboard, Tab to a card and press Enter or Space to flip it; arrow keys move between cards.
Memory Game Themes
- Animals: match cats, rabbits, frogs and other animal portraits. A friendly starting point for a memory game for kids or a quick break for adults.
- Letters: large uppercase alphabet cards. Match A with A, never A with a picture or a lowercase letter.
- Dinosaurs: match illustrated dinosaur cards, from Rex to Triceratops. Each has a name label to help distinguish it.
- Food: find identical fruit, snacks and treats, including apples, pizza and ice cream.
- Space: pair rockets, planets, stars and other space pictures.
All five themes use the same rule: two visually identical cards make a pair. Theme changes stay on this page.
Difficulty Levels
Easy: 6 pairs (12 cards). Medium: 8 pairs (16 cards). Hard: 12 pairs (24 cards). Start small to learn the positions, then add more cards when you are ready. Every new board shuffles the cards and may choose different items.
How do personal bests work?
Your best completed round is saved in this browser separately for each theme and level. Fewer moves wins; time breaks a tie. The timer starts with your first card and pauses when the page is hidden. Reloading starts a fresh board but keeps saved bests. Clearing browser data removes them; if storage is unavailable, you can still play.
