DINOSAUR WORD SEARCH

A dinosaur word search, free to play and free to print. The easy level covers the parts — claws, spikes, fossils, eggs — and the hard level is the names themselves.

Those names are what makes this theme unusual. TRICERATOPS, STEGOSAURUS, PTERODACTYL, DIPLODOCUS — eleven letters of unfamiliar Greek, and yet plenty of eight-year-olds can rattle them off. Long words are not automatically hard to find in a grid, either: the longer a word is, the fewer places it can possibly fit.

The easy level goes the other way, using short concrete words about what a dinosaur actually had, which keeps it readable for beginners while staying on the same subject.

HOW TO PLAY

PRINT IT

Press Print this puzzle — or just Ctrl‑P — and you'll get the grid exactly as it is on screen, with the word list underneath and a full answer key on a second sheet. Generate a new grid first if you'd like a different one; whatever is on screen is what prints. No account, no watermark, nothing to download.
