WINTER WORD SEARCH

A winter word search you can play in the browser or print as a worksheet. Pick a level, hunt down everything in the grid, and print it whenever you want it on paper — the answer key comes on its own sheet.

Winter earns its place as a theme by lasting. Unlike a holiday, it is useful from November to March, and the easy level is built out of words a beginner meets in their first winter anywhere cold: snow, ice, coat, hat, boots. Each one comes with a plain-English meaning when you find it.

The harder level is where winter gets interesting as vocabulary. TOBOGGAN, AVALANCHE, FROSTBITE, SOLSTICE — words most people know but few have had to spell recently, which is exactly the right kind of difficult for a timed grid.

HOW TO PLAY

PRINT IT

Press Print this puzzle — or just Ctrl‑P — and you'll get the grid exactly as it is on screen, with the word list underneath and a full answer key on a second sheet. Generate a new grid first if you'd like a different one; whatever is on screen is what prints. No account, no watermark, nothing to download.
