A food word search, playable here and printable for a class. Choose a level, find everything on the list, and start a fresh grid whenever you like.
Food vocabulary earns its place early in learning a language because you use it the same week you learn it — in a shop, a canteen, a menu. The English learner level sticks to that everyday set: bread, milk, rice, eggs, the words that come up in an ordinary afternoon. Each one shows a plain definition when you find it, so a word you half-recognise gets pinned down rather than guessed at.
The native level goes somewhere else entirely — ASPARAGUS, MERINGUE, AUBERGINE, GNOCCHI. Words most English speakers can eat but hesitate to spell, which is exactly what makes them hard to spot in a grid.
Press Print this puzzle — or just Ctrl‑P — and you'll get the grid exactly as it is on screen, with the word list underneath and a full answer key on a second sheet. Generate a new grid first if you'd like a different one; whatever is on screen is what prints. No account, no watermark, nothing to download.
