COLORS WORD SEARCH

A color word search you can play in the browser or print as a worksheet. Two levels, a new grid every time, nothing to install.

Colors are one of the smallest useful vocabulary sets in any language — a dozen words covers almost everything people say day to day. That makes them well suited to a puzzle: the list is short enough to hold in your head while you scan, so you spend the time looking rather than checking back. The English learner level covers the basic set, each with a plain description of what the color actually is.

The native level is where it gets interesting, because English has far more color words than anyone uses — VERMILION, CHARTREUSE, CERULEAN, OCHRE. Most people can picture perhaps half of them, which turns out not to matter at all when you're hunting letters.

HOW TO PLAY

PRINT IT

Press Print this puzzle — or just Ctrl‑P — and you'll get the grid exactly as it is on screen, with the word list underneath and a full answer key on a second sheet. Generate a new grid first if you'd like a different one; whatever is on screen is what prints. No account, no watermark, nothing to download.
